PAPR reduction technique for FBMC based visible light communication systems

One of the critical challenges in multicarrier-based systems is peak to average power ratio (PAPR). Recently, Filter Bank Multicarrier (FBMC) proved be a promising candidate that can replace traditional orthogonal multiplexing division (OFDM) scheme due its better spectral efficiency, reducing both inter-channel interference (ICI) and PAPR. Due their advantages PAPR without impacting BER, Hadamard transform was used proposed FBMC based VLC system. Furthermore, here, discreet cosine (DCT) precoding also boost potential for reduction BER efficiency. The negative signals are not clipped off as asymmetrically-clipped optical OFDM (ACO-OFDM) reduce impact large-amplitude signal nor add dc biasing cancelling DC-biased (DCO-OFDM) signals. Clipping introduced allow trade-off between bit error rate (BER) reduction, optimal investigated. obtained results show system with DCT clipping technique achieve good efficiency compared
